Position Purpose

The Equipment Lead is responsible for monitoring the day to day productivity of Equipment Coordinators and for ensuring customer satisfaction and high standards of productivity. Ensures all Briggs Equipment standards are adhered to and executed consistent with company direction.

Principal Responsibilities and Duties

  • Lead Equipment Coordinators to ensure proper protocols and processes are followed in ordering, tracking, and distributing materials, equipment, machinery and supplies
  • Manage and resolve challenges and situations that arise over the course of the sales order process
  • Act as first line of response in supporting leaders and Equipment Coordinators within assigned region
  • Partner with the Equipment Procurement Manager to identify areas of improvement and recommend solutions that will increase productivity and drive efficiencies
  • Process sales orders for new equipment from the sales and rental departments
  • Maintain appropriate records in the company's systems and equipment files for new equipment purchases
  • Partner with the IT department to test company system enhancements to ensure functionality with minimal impact on day to day processes
  • Process stock inventory orders for appropriate branches to support on hand orders
  • Generate and submit purchase orders to Company vendors for new equipment orders
  • Invoice new equipment orders once delivered to the customer
  • Partner with Sales leadership to provide monthly forecasting
  • Collaborate and knowledge share with various Briggs team members and departments
  • Provide training to team member based on performance standards to ensure the acceptable efficiency and productivity of team members
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

Basic Knowledge & Competencies :

  • Excellent customer service, communication and multi-tasking skills
  • Strong ability with navigating Microsoft based programs / company systems
  • Excellent time management skills to include prioritization of tasks, communication, execution to meet established deadlines
  • Good knowledge of industry, dealership and general business operations

  • Ability to work with a high sense of urgency and minimal supervision in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Thorough knowledge of all systems, procedures, techniques, equipment, operations, standards and reports that apply to the department
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Demonstrated ability to make decisions, develop plans and procedures, implement, monitor and complete tasks
  • Ability to develop a rapport and understanding at all levels to get problems solved and needs met
  • Ability to be a team player to achieve specific departmental goals
  • Ability to assess workload patterns and adjust team personnel focus accordingly
  • Previous Experience / Education :

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required
  • 3+ years' experience in roles with increasing responsibility preferred
  • 1+ years' experience as an Equipment Coordinator or equivalent role preferred
  • Analytical decision making preferred
  • Physical Requirements

  • Working conditions are normal for an office environment in the branch
  • Standing, walking, lifting, twisting, and bending on a frequent basis
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds
