Fund Accountant - Private Equity Fund-of-Funds

A global private equity fund-of-funds is seeking a Fund Accountant to join its San Francisco office. This is an exciting opportunity for an early-career accounting professional to gain exposure to international markets, complex fund structures, and a highly collaborative team environment.

About the Role :

You'll be a key member of a 20-person accounting team, supporting fund and GP accounting, financial reporting, audits, and investor communications. The firm offers strong career development, competitive compensation growth, and a unique shadow carry plan.

Key Responsibilities :

Maintain fund and GP general ledgers, including investment transactions and allocations

Prepare quarterly and annual financial statements

Assist with annual audits and tax filings

Monitor fund cash positions and process capital calls / distributions

Respond to investor inquiries in coordination with Investor Relations

Support ad hoc reporting and special projects

Requirements : Ideal Candidate :

1.5-4 years of experience in fund accounting or public audit (investment management clients preferred)

Degree in Accounting, Business, or Economics

CPA or CPA-track preferred

Strong organizational and time management skills

Professional presence and collaborative mindset

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
