Planned Parenthood Northern California (PPNorCal) is seeking an Advanced Practice Clinician for our Redding and Chico Health Centers. This position would be based mainly at our Redding Health Center but would travel to Chico and neighboring Health Centers. The position is full-time, 32 hours per week. PPNorCal provides a comprehensive benefits package including 100% employer paid medical insurance for the employee, 50% employer paid medical insurance for dependent children, dental and vision coverage, employer paid life and long-term disability insurance, 10 paid holidays, and a 403(b) retirement plan with up to 4% employer match after 12 months of service.
This position is currently represented by SEIU Local 1021.
To be considered for this position, you must either live within a commutable distance to the Redding Health Center or be willing to relocate to an area that is within commuting distance.
SUMMARY
The Advanced Practice Clinician (Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant, Certified Nurse Midwife, and other licensed providers) will function as part of a healthcare team to provide care under the medical supervision of the Medical Director in accordance with PPFA and PPNorCal Medical Standards and Guidelines and all relevant federal, state, and local regulations.

HEALTH CENTER
Work in the health center providing comprehensive clinical sexual and reproductive health care services to all patients in accordance with evidence-based practice protocols.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES OF CLINICIAN
This job has no supervisory responsibilities. However, APCs are responsible for the medical oversight and instruction of the Reproductive Health Specialists and other medical support staff.

EDUCATION and / or EXPERIENCE
Successful completion of accredited Advanced Practice Clinician program.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations. Ability to document in electronic health record concisely, accurately, and according to PPNorCal protocols. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, patients, customers, and the general public.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to understand and interpret statistics. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
COMPUTER SKILLS
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge and experience with EHR & EPM systems. Working knowledge of Microsoft office applications required.

Pay Range : Planned Parenthood Northern California (PPNorCal) supports California’s new law (SB 1162) enhancing pay transparency. This new law requires employers with 15 or more employees to include a pay range in job postings. The pay range reflects the compensation that a new employee can expect to receive if offered employment. Employees with more experience, education, and other qualifying factors may be compensated at a higher rate of pay. The pay range for this position is : $71.00 - $84.86 per hour.
