Job Description

Robert Half is seeking an Illinois barred attorney with Trusts and Estates experience to assist our client with an ongoing legal research initiative.

Project information :

Start : October / November 2025
Duration : 6 months with possibility of extension
Pay : $40 / hour
Location : Remote
Hours : 5-15 hours per week

Responsibilities include :

Draft and annotate pleadings, settlement agreements, and other documents related to probate administration, fiduciary litigation, guardianship proceedings, and other contested matters.

Draft, review, and revise practical guidance articles on Trusts & and Estates topics with a focus on probate, fiduciary litigation, guardianships, and other contested Trusts & Estates matters.

Draft checklists, charts, and other how-to guidance on contested Trusts & Estates matters.

Supplement existing documents with Illinois-specific practical guidance based on state law, local custom, and legal practice experience.

Law degree from an accredited law school.

Member, in good standing, of the Illinois State Bar.

Must have 5 years of experience as an Illinois Trusts & Estates attorney with substantive experience drafting estate planning documents, preparing pleadings and related documents in, probate administration, fiduciary litigation matters, guardianship proceedings, and other contested Trusts & Estates matters.

Excellent writing, editing, and legal research skills.

Comfortable working in Microsoft Word with track changes and conducting online research.

Effective written and oral communication skills.

Ability to complete assigned projects by prescribed deadlines.

Organized, self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to manage tasks effectively.
