Principal Analyst

Nuuly is looking for a Principal Analyst to join the Nuuly Analytics team.

The analytics team brings data-driven insights to functions, including buying / planning, logistics, finance, customer service, marketing, and user experience. They collaborate closely with the data science team, working together on model development and using algorithms to address core questions.

You are a strategic problem solver and are able to take ambiguous questions and independently turn them into actionable insights. You are curious and love to immerse yourself in data to drive business value. You are organized and attentive to detail, and value precisely and clearly documenting analyses. You are an organization-wide thought leader, always on the forefront of new technologies and analytical approaches. You enjoy acting as a technical mentor to analysts, providing guidance on code quality, analytical approaches, and strategic thinking.

Role Responsibilities

• Lead analytics initiatives that shape business strategy, especially in high-priority domains like inventory optimization and planning. Over time, flex across domains (e.g., marketing, logistics, finance), becoming a trusted strategic partner across the org.
• Conduct complex analyses independently. Run simulations and conduct statistical analyses on test results.
• Understand and interrogate data via Google BigQuery (SQL) and Python
• Serve as a liaison between technical and non-technical stakeholders, translating data into insights.
• Work with stakeholders to understand the meaning & intent behind their questions, not just perform question-and-answer services. Partner with stakeholders to inform strategy, suggesting new approaches, introducing new metrics to better understand the business, etc.
