Overview
As a Senior Technical Services Engineer (SESg), you will ensure code compliance and support engineering, quality, and manufacturing teams across projects. You will lead and participate in audits, provide engineering consultations, mentor colleagues, and drive compliance with international standards and customer requirements.
Review, establish, and maintain Welding Procedure Specifications to ensure code compliance and alignment with customer specifications and manufacturability.Lead ASME and other code compliance audits; collaborate with Quality to ensure ISO 9001-2015 and quality systems compliance.Collaborate with Sales, Engineering, and Design teams to review customer specifications for RFQ support and proposal preparation as needed.Provide consultations with SESG Engineering Departments on advanced calculations, code clarity, and auditing of outputs.Mentor junior engineers and share knowledge across teams.Plan and execute systems migrations, integrations, and updates.Analyze compliance with global standards (e.g., CRN, PED) and manage approvals for required codes.Support on-site assessments and respond to questions from regulators, customers, and third parties.Collaborate with Manufacturing to improve processes and develop operational procedures and best practices.Coordinate with Quality, Engineering, and Customer Care to ensure field service work is code compliant and meets customer expectations.Lead pre-manufacturing meetings for new or highly complex orders and ensure product is built to code.Contribute to ensuring technical capabilities of operations are scoped, implemented, maintained, and compliant.Uphold quality and EHS programs and perform other duties as assigned; engage in continuous process improvement and resolve customer satisfaction issues.Education and Certifications
Bachelor's Degree in Technical Discipline with 4+ years relevant experience, or an associate's degree with 7+ years relevant experience.Qualifications
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and support company policies and procedures.Commitment to safety rules and basic computer literacy; reading, writing, and simple math skills; ability to read blueprints.Strong communication skills; Certified Weld Inspector (CWI) and Professional Engineer designation preferred; member of American Welding Society.Experience with pressure vessel and / or steel manufacturing is preferred; project management and analytical skills are advantageous.Relevant industry experience is an asset; on-the-job training provided.Company and Equal Opportunity
