About the Role Autoscribe is seeking a Controller to lead the company’s accounting operations and financial reporting function.
This is a key leadership position responsible for the integrity of financial data, the effectiveness of internal controls, and the overall efficiency of accounting processes.
The ideal candidate is both strategic and hands-on—someone who can manage daily accounting operations, mentor a growing team, and partner with senior leadership to drive financial insight and operational excellence.

What You’ll Do Financial Leadership & Reporting Direct all accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable / receivable, payroll, and fixed assets.
Oversee the month-end and year-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate results.
Prepare and present financial statements, performance metrics, and management reports to senior leadership.
Deliver clear, data-driven insights to support decision-making and financial strategy.
Continuously improve reporting tools, automation, and data quality across systems.
Internal Controls & Compliance Maintain strong internal controls and ensure GAAP compliance.
Lead external audits and tax filings, managing deliverables and timelines.
Develop, document, and maintain financial policies and procedures.
Proactively identify process and system improvements that enhance efficiency and compliance.
Operational Partnership Collaborate across departments to improve financial accuracy and visibility.
Support HR and Operations with payroll, benefits, and commission processes.
Contribute to cross-functional projects that strengthen the company’s financial infrastructure.
Leadership & Team Development Lead, coach, and mentor a team of accounting professionals.
Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and professional growth.
Champion continuous learning and process improvement across the finance function.
What We’re Looking For Education & Credentials Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required CPA strongly preferred (or active pursuit of certification) Experience 10+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience, including 5+ years in a leadership role Proven expertise in GAAP compliance, financial reporting, and audit management Experience in payments, financial technology, or other transaction-intensive environments preferred Skills & Attributes Advanced proficiency in accounting systems, data modeling, and Microsoft Excel Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with exceptional attention to detail Effective communicator who can translate complex financial concepts for non-financial audiences Highly organized, results-driven, and committed to continuous improvement Collaborative leader who models integrity, professionalism, and excellence Powered by JazzHR
