Job Summary : Under direct supervision, operates heavy equipment and various machinery and tools to perform the maintenance, cleaning and / or repair of City streets and drainage systems. Performs related work as required. The incumbent must be able to perform duties according to detailed instructions with adherence to prescribed standards and procedures. Reports to the Street Supervisor.

Minimum Qualifications : Requires a high school diploma or GED supplemented by up to one year of previous experience in street maintenance and / or heavy equipment operations, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.

Special Requirements : Must possess a valid class "B" CDL state driver's license.
