Landscaper, Tribal Government Operations

Under the direction of the Supervisor, Landscape Public Works, the Landscaper, Tribal Government Operations (TGO) will be responsible for general facility and grounds maintenance on the Tribal Reservation as well as other San Manuel properties. While working as a part of a closely-knit team, the primary duty of the Landscaper, TGO will be to perform a variety of semiskilled and skilled work in the maintenance of the enterprise grounds, equipment, buildings, and facilities; and to do related work as assigned to maintain the efficient operation and upkeep of San Manuel properties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Performs weed abatement; controls fertilization of trees, lawns, flowers, shrubs and hedges.
• Performs landscaping maintenance as needed. Performs irrigation repair such as replacement or cleaning of heads or irrigation lines.
• Cleans and removes debris and waste from the Tribal Reservation & other San Manuel Properties.
• Cleans and maintains roads and parking lots. Performs minor road maintenance.
• Operates tractors & other riding equipment; assists in the training of operating equipment. Inspects and ensures that all equipment is in safe operating condition.
• Performs erosion control mitigation including jute netting. Wattles and sandbags.
• Cleans out water drains as needed.
• Detects, identifies and recommends treatment of plant problems.
• Performs other duties as assigned to support the efficient operation of the department.
