Job Summary

The position is responsible for coaching student-athlete / team strategies and techniques to prepare them for athletic competition and to help them develop important life skills. This position will assist the varsity.

Responsibilities

• Coach and instruct players, individually or in groups, regarding the sport's rules, regulations, equipment, techniques, and tactics.
• Observe players during practice and competition to determine individual or team improvement needs.
• Determine game strategy based on the individual and team's capabilities.
• Establish and maintain high standards of behavior and supervise athletes at all times.
• Follow established procedures in the event of an athlete's injury.
• Observe school, league, state, regional, and national athletic program regulations.
• Model positive behavior and maintain appropriate conduct towards players, parents, officials, and spectators – practice good sportsmanship.
• Employ nondiscriminatory practices in all activities.

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, And / or Abilities Required)

Job Compensation

A competitive stipend is available and is commensurate with education and coaching experience / background.
