Locum Tenens Ophthalmologist

Location : Stevens Point, Wisconsin

Hospital is seeking a Board-Certified / Board-Eligible Ophthalmologist to provide Locum Tenens coverage with a combination of clinic and call responsibilities. This opportunity offers a supportive work environment and an experienced clinical team to help ensure quality patient care.

Position Details : Schedule :

Clinic Days : Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursday mornings (8 : 00 AM – 12 : 00 PM)

Call Coverage Dates Needed :

June 27 – July 1

November 27 – December 1

December 19 (One day only)

Call Coverage :

Includes phone triage for system-wide calls

Physical call back coverage for Stevens Point Emergency Department and Wausau (if inpatient admission is required)

Call-back pay applies only when called in to see a patient in person

Locations :

Primary : Stevens Point, WI

Secondary : Wausau, WI (Minimal travel; 0–3 times weekly, 30 miles via interstate)

Clinical Scope :

Non-surgical and Surgical / Invasive Procedures

Laser & Cryotherapy Procedures Preferred

Experience in :

Posterior & Anterior Segment

YAG laser procedures

Cataract removal (preferred)

Requirements :

Wisconsin Medical License or Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC)

BLS Certification

DEA License

Support & Resources :

EMR : Epic

Team : 7 experienced technicians, 2 office support staff

Credentialing : Standard 90-day process; emergency privileges available if needed
