Contractor - Enterprise Technology Systems

Description : We are seeking a contractor to support our enterprise-wide End-of-Life (EOL) Software Management Initiative. The goal is to identify, assess, and retire legacy, redundant, and unsupported applications to reduce risk, cost, and complexity. The contractor will analyze software, evaluate usage and support status, and collaborate with stakeholders to plan and execute EOL strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support EOL software project activities
  • Coordinate with project managers and engineering teams
  • Manage risks, issues, and change requests
  • Ensure successful decommissioning of software
  • Conduct software discovery and usage analysis
  • Identify unsupported, vulnerable, and redundant software
  • Collaborate with security, compliance, and engineering teams
  • Document findings, decisions, and plans
  • Ensure compliance with standards and best practices
  • Provide technical leadership on software lifecycle management
  • Present findings and recommendations

Qualifications

  • Understanding of software lifecycle and EOL processes
  • Proficiency in PowerShell, SQL, WQL, Power BI, and inventory tools
  • Experience with Change Management and change tickets
  • Experience with Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager
  • Experience with packaging and deployment technologies
  • Familiarity with Windows 10 / 11, MAC, or VDI environments
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and in teams
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills
  • Desired experience with Splunk / UberAgent, InstallShield, Liquidware FlexApp
  • 3+ years of Software Package Engineering experience
