As part of our ongoing growth and expansion, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Data Entry Clerk to support NOAA and the Northeast Fisheries Science Center (NEFSC), Fishery Monitoring and Research Division (FMRD).

Responsibilities

Data entry keypunches data from paper logs for the Northeast Fisheries Science Center (NEFSC), Fishery Monitoring and Research Division (FMRD) after they are reviewed by data debriefers, runs checks on the data and corrects keypunch errors as necessary.

Data entry support will include the following :

• Contractor shall accurately and efficiently enter values from paper fisheries observer logs into a proprietary computer system.
• Contractor shall meet Observer Program milestones of entering trip data within 60 days of date land of trip.
• Contractor shall enter data related to acoustic pingers on gillnet trips within 60 days of date land of trip.
• Contractor shall assist with the tracking of age structure samples by comparing the number of samples with values entered into the tracking database table.
• Contractor shall keep the Data Quality Program Manager informed of progress and any issues encountered.
• Contractor shall work with team leaders to verify inconsistencies and solve data recording problems as needed.
• Contractor shall assist with routine audits and checks as needed.
