Gorrill Palmer is part of LJB Engineering, a national, multi-disciplinary engineering consulting firm with six main business lines which include : Transportation, Municipal, Land Development, Water Resources, Buildings Structure Design and Safety / Fall Protection Design and Installation. Our diverse expertise, client base and geographies have enabled LJB to serve clients in all 50 U.S. states and several countries.

We are currently seeking a new or recent graduates (with up to two years of experience) with a bachelor's degree in civil engineering to fill the role of an entry-level design engineer for our Transportation team. With our office located in South Portland, Maine. You must exhibit a professional attitude, visionary thinking, innovative ideas, analytical problem solving and a willingness to collaborate while having the ability to work independently.

Annual Compensation : $67,000-80,000 based upon experience, certifications, and regional market standards.

ENTRY-LEVEL DESIGN ENGINEER ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :

• Responsible for performing design tasks, engineering analysis, research, documentation of solutions with recommendations and development of construction documents.
• Develop design and perform engineering calculations.
• Conduct site visits / inspections, as needed.
• Assist and collaborate with team members (project engineers, project managers, CAD technicians) as needed for the successful completion of design assignments
• Other duties as assigned.
