Event Security Officer- PT Harrison, NJ

Overview

Position : Part-Time Event Security Officer

Location : Harrison, NJ

Pay Rate : $18.00 – $18.50 / hour

Schedule : Event-Based (Primarily Weekend Evenings and Some Weekday Evenings After 4 : 00 PM)

Responsibilities

• Event Security & Crowd Management : Conduct bag checks and frisking for prohibited items (e.g., weapons, contraband, outside food / drink)
• Verify tickets and identify signs of fraud or tampering
• Monitor crowd behavior and manage flow to prevent bottlenecks or safety concerns
• Identify and de-escalate situations involving disruptive or unsafe behavior
• Monitor backstage, VIP, and restricted areas to prevent unauthorized access
• Respond to emergencies including medical incidents, fire, or disturbances
• Administer basic first aid and coordinate with emergency responders as needed
• Assist in executing evacuation procedures when necessary
