Position Overview

The Corporate Senior Cost Accountant will play a key role in managing and analyzing cost data to support our financial objectives and drive profitability.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze cost reports and budgets to provide insights into financial performance.
• Monitor and control inventory costs, ensuring compliance with company policies.
• Conduct cost analysis and recommend improvements in processes and efficiencies.
• Collaborate with various departments to gather data and ensure accurate cost accounting.
• Reviewing financial data to ensure accuracy and completeness before reporting to management.
• Assisting in the preparation of reports for external stakeholders, such as investors, auditors, and regulatory agencies.
• Providing financial advice to other departments to support decision-making.
• Maintaining and reconciling the general ledger (GL) accounts.
• Ensuring all cost transactions are accurately recorded.
• Reviewing journal entries and ensuring proper accounting treatment for various transactions.
• Develop and maintain cost accounting systems and procedures.
• Support internal and external audits as required.
• Providing guidance and support to junior accountants and other team members.
• Reviewing junior accountants work for accuracy and providing feedback.
• Assisting with training new staff members.
