Tube Fabricator / Tube Bender – Job Summary
Prepare tubes by cutting, facing, and bending according to drawings and instructions. Align and assemble tubing components using jigs and fixtures for welding. Set up and operate manual and power machines to cut, form, swage, flare, and deburr tubing to specifications. Attach fittings like nuts, sleeves, collars, and caps using hand tools and machines. Perform rework or repairs as needed. Conduct in-process quality checks to ensure parts meet standards. Clean tubing and assemblies, and remove minor imperfections using approved mechanical or manual methods.
Tube Fabricator / Tube Bender - Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent with one or more years of metalworking experience, preferably as a tube fabricator or related field. Strong English communication skills are required to follow instructions, collaborate, and participate in meetings and training. Must be able to read drawings, work instructions, and technical documents. Basic math skills, including geometry and trigonometry, are needed. Proficiency in inspection, including GD&T, and applying QC standards is essential. Knowledge of equipment safety and the ability to produce precise parts within tight tolerances is required. Experience with welding equipment and tools such as cold saws, pneumatic tools, band saws, grinders, polishing wheels, and inspection devices is also necessary.
