Registered Nurse (RN) – Postpartum Unit | Night Shift

\n Schedule : Full-time | Night Shift 3 / 12's per week

\n\n\n Position Overview \n\n
The Registered Nurse – Postpartum Unit provides coordinated, patient-centered nursing care to mothers and newborns according to established standards of care and the nursing process. The RN will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure safe, compassionate, and evidence-based care throughout the postpartum experience.
\n\n\n Key Responsibilities \n\n \n\t
Provide comprehensive nursing care to postpartum patients and newborns in accordance with clinical protocols and established standards.
\n\t\n\t
Collect and analyze patient data to develop individualized care plans.
\n\t\n\t
Implement and evaluate care interventions, ensuring safety and quality outcomes.
\n\t\n\t
Collaborate closely with physicians, midwives, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless coordination of care.
\n\t\n\t
Educate patients and families on newborn care, recovery, and discharge instructions.
\n\t\n\t
Participate in discharge planning to promote continuity of care.
\n\t\n\t
Delegate appropriately and coordinate the activities of nursing and support staff.
\n\t\n\t
Maintain accurate documentation and support compliance with hospital and regulatory standards.

\n\n\n Qualifications \n\n
Education & Experience
\n\n \n\t
Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) – Preferred
\n\t\n\t
Experience in an acute care setting – Preferred
\n\t\n\t
Previous postpartum, mother-baby, or women’s health experience – Highly Desirable
\n\t\n
\n\n
Licenses & Certifications
\n\n \n\t
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of California – Required
\n\t\n\t
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification – Required
\n\t\n
