Description :

Maintenance Technician with electrical experience for 2nd shift

Requirements :

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Make necessary repairs to production equipment through adjustment, repair or

replacement of mechanical and / or electrical components in a timely manner to

reduce equipment downtime.

  • Test and adjust repaired systems for proper performance. When necessary,

    • read drawings, specifications, and manuals for assistance in repairs.

  • Conduct preventive maintenance activities as assigned. Perform PMs and take

    • proper steps to correct deficiencies. Make recommendations to improve

    equipment.

  • Inspect motors, gearboxes, chains, sprockets, belts, bearings, and other

    • related components. Lubricate and grease bearing, shafts, chains and

    equipment.

  • Fabricate parts using various tools, machines and equipment.
  • Basic welding and torch cutting for fabrication and repairs.
  • Install, repair and maintain piping for water, pneumatics and hydraulics.
  • Follow basic wiring diagrams, wire three phase motors and troubleshoot.
  • Follow OSHA safety guidelines and work safely at all times
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area.

    • PREFERRED SKILLS

  • Two years’ experience working in a manufacturing environment as a

    • Maintenance Mechanic / Electrician or related field preferred. Vocational school

    considered in lieu of experience.

  • Must be a self-starter who can work with little supervision.
  • Good verbal communication skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, schematics,

    • operating instructions, and maintenance manuals.

  • Experience with safety requirements including lockout / tag out.
