Heavy Equipment Truck Mechanic

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Truck Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of heavy equipment and trucks, including dump trucks, mini excavators and backhoe loaders. This role requires a strong mechanical knowledge base, proficiency with hand tools and power tools, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

• Duties
• Perform diagnostics and troubleshooting on heavy equipment and trucks to identify mechanical issues.
• Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, air brakes, hydraulics, suspension systems, and HVAC systems.
• Utilize schematics to assist in the repair and assembly of various equipment components.
• Execute fabrication tasks as needed for custom repairs or modifications.
• Operate heavy equipment safely while performing repairs or maintenance tasks.
• Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding their equipment needs and repair status.
• Maintain accurate records of all service work performed on vehicles and equipment.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations while working in the shop or field.
• Qualifications
• Previous mechanic experience with heavy equipment or automotive repair is required.
• Proficiency in automotive diagnostics and repair techniques for various types of machinery including tractor-trailers, dump trucks and industrial equipment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with hands-on experience using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment.
• Familiarity with electrical systems and soldering techniques is desirable.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting as required for equipment repair tasks.
• Knowledge of alignment procedures, brake repair techniques, and tire service operations.
• Experience working with OEM parts and understanding of service technician responsibilities.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail in all aspects of work performed.

Pay : $27.00 - $33.00 per hour
