Internship Summary :

Kuraray's paid internship program allows students the opportunity to obtain valuable, applicable work experience in a fast-paced, and challenging environment. The program blends real-world experience with an extensive overview of the chemical industry. Knowledgeable mentors will provide guidance as you gain professional hands-on experience. The internship will be 13 weeks in duration for the summer of 2025 with flexible start dates. Student interns must be able to work full-time.

The internship will be split between a major project and daily tasks.

Position Summary :

The Bayport Maintenance Intern will support our active maintenance and reliability programs in the areas of fixed and rotating equipment but will also have some exposure to electrical equipment & instrumentation. Specifically, the summer intern will be assigned some specific engineering work requests. These work requests will be assigned after a familiarization process with our plant and its processes.

Responsibilities :

• Update Preventive Maintenance Plans
• Participate in Root Cause Analysis
• Assist in Mechanical Integrity Programs Maintenance Project Planning and Implementation
• Participate in Management of Change Process
• Participate in spare part analysis and inventory management
• Study plant maintenance processes and equipment
• Work with plant personnel on maintenance activities
• Work on assigned engineering work requests
• Complete any assigned procedures
• Prepare a presentation covering learnings from the summer
