The Director / Senior Director of Talent Acquisition will lead the development and execution of CityVet’s hiring strategy to support rapid growth, with a focus on recruiting veterinarians and clinical support roles. This position partners closely with operations and marketing to build recruiting processes, strengthen our employer brand, and deliver a consistent, high-quality candidate experience.
The best person for this role will have a strong background in talent acquisition leadership, a data-driven mindset, and a passion for building teams that support great work and great culture. Responsibilities & Duties
- Build and lead a high-performing talent acquisition team including recruiting, sourcing, and campus functions
- Partner with operations leaders to understand recruiting needs and deliver tailored strategies for different markets
- Develop and execute hiring plans to support company growth and workforce planning
- Oversee all aspects of the recruiting process, from job postings and sourcing to interviewing and selection
- Partner with Marketing to strengthen CityVet’s employer brand and drive candidate interest through events, digital media, and outreach
- Monitor and improve the candidate experience across every stage of the process
- Leverage data to assess recruiting effectiveness, identify opportunities, and drive results
- Support selection and implementation of recruiting systems, tools, and technology (Sourcing, ATS, CRM, reporting tools, etc.)
- Ensure recruiting practices align with applicable laws and support a consistent, compliant process
- Manage talent acquisition budget and make smart, strategic investments to support hiring goals
- Represent CityVet culture through collaboration, communication, and a service-minded approach
Requirements & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Marketing, or related field (advanced degrees or certifications a plus)8+ years of experience in talent acquisition with 3+ years in a leadership roleDemonstrated success building and leading recruiting teams in a growth-focused environmentStrong knowledge of hiring best practices, recruiting technology, and employment lawExperience working cross-functionally and supporting decentralized or multi-location teamsOutstanding communication, coaching, and problem-solving skillsCollaborative and adaptable; able to shift strategies as neededHighly professional, organized, and self-motivated
