Overview

This is highly responsible professional engineering work in performing administrative and managerial activities over one or more sections of a governmental Engineering or Public Works Department.

Responsibilities

  • Perform administrative and managerial activities over one or more sections of a governmental Engineering or Public Works Department.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an ABET-accredited engineering program and a minimum of three years of responsible administrative experience in the management of one or more sections of a governmental engineering or public works department, including at least one year of supervisory experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Special Requirements

  • Must possess a valid driver's license from the state of residence.
  • Licensure as a Professional Engineer by the State Board of Licensure for Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors in the State of Alabama.
