As a Security Professional - Armed Government Patrol in Newark, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting routine patrols and maintaining a strong presence at a government location. Your role involves monitoring assigned areas, responding to incidents, and delivering exceptional customer service and communication. Pay Rate : $22.61 / Hour

Job Schedule : Day Time

Monday 08 : 00 AM - 04 : 00 PM

Tuesday 08 : 00 AM - 04 : 00 PM

Wednesday 08 : 00 AM - 04 : 00 PM

Thursday 08 : 00 AM - 04 : 00 PM

Friday 08 : 00 AM - 04 : 00 PM

What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the assigned government location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and / or suspicious behavior.
  • Monitor access points and verify credentials to help to deter unauthorized entry and / or breaches of protocol.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate reports of daily activities, incidents, and any unusual occurrences observed during patrols.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency responders as needed during incidents and / or emergencies.
  • Remain alert to potential security-related threats and communicate observations to Allied Universal management and / or client representatives as required.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Possess a valid Armed Guard Card or License.
  • Possess a valid New Jersey Retired Police Officer Certificate.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
