Job Description

As a Security Guard - Unarmed Patrol Driver in Jacksonville, FL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more.

As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to maintain a secure environment at a financial institution location. Your responsibilities will include conducting routine patrols, remaining visible to help deter security-related incidents, and providing outstanding customer service to everyone onsite. This position requires driving as part of your duties. You will be part of a team that values reliability, innovation, and puts people first, delivering service with integrity and agility every day.

What You'll Do :

Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites

  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service to clients, following site-specific policies and procedures as well as security-related protocols for the location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established guidelines.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the business and around the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Communicate professionally with staff and visitors, offering assistance as needed and reporting any unusual activity.
  • Document observations, incidents, and / or actions taken in accordance with Allied Universal and client requirements.
  • Remain alert to surroundings and changing conditions at the location, escalating issues as appropriate to management or emergency services.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • CPR and / or First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
