SUMMARY
Paragon Professional Services, LLC, is seeking a Superintendent to support a wide range of environmental projects. Primary duties will include ensuring safe work practices and compliance with health and safety requirements; supporting and leading field activities with heavy equipment such as excavators, loaders, and skid steers; assisting with site inspections and hazard assessments; documenting daily field operations; and preparing after-action and safety reports. Additional responsibilities include supporting planning documents, and contributing to technical input for proposals.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

- Supervise and perform on-site work to ensure the project meets the schedule
- Coordinate the material subcontractor(s) and suppliers’ requirements with the Project / Construction Manager
- Inspect the work of each trade and confirm that not only the quality of the work is up to standard, but that the work is being built in accordance with work plans and specifications
- Ensure that the project maintains the required schedule by organizing, planning, monitoring, and inspecting work
- Prepare daily progress reports for work performed
- Maintain and enforce safety regulations and building code requirements
- Ensure that all work is performed in a safe manner and may serve as the site Safety Representative
- Organize and run weekly safety meetings with in-house trade staff and subcontractor(s)
- Direct, manage, supervise, work with and coordinate the activities of the various trade groups such as Carpenters, Laborers, Equipment Operators, etc. and Subcontractors on the site to meet the work requirements as described in the plans and specifications or the statement of work on the individual delivery order(s) or Contracts
- Coordinate with the Project Manager or Construction Manager to ensure that the work progresses according to the schedule, that materials and equipment are delivered to the site on time, that the subcontractor(s) are on the project when required and progress in accordance with the schedule, and that the activities of the various workers do not interfere with one another
- Work with the tools and assists with the coordination between the subcontractor(s), in house workforce and material suppliers
- Perform other related duties as required
- Must have the ability to travel to jobsites throughout the country
- Review safety procedures and processes with team members onsite (Standard Operating Procedures, Activity Hazard Analysis, Job Safety Analysis etc.).
- Understanding and use of authority of executing Stop Work Authority (SWA) and when to apply SWA.

Required (Minimum Necessary) Qualifications
High school diploma or GEDMust have a minimum of seven (7) years of supervisory construction experienceMust have experience with civil and remediation constructionMust have knowledge of applicable codes and regulationMust have 10 hr and 30 hr OSHA certificationsMust have current CPR / First aid certificationsMust have 40-Hour HAZWOPER TrainingMust have current 8-Hour HAZWOPER Refresher TrainingKnowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics

The employee will normally work outside. During work activities, may be exposed to extreme cold or hot weather conditions. Is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals and loud noise .
