Experienced Equipment Mechanic At Souter Limestone , we are a leading provider of premium limestone products for a variety of industries, including construction, agriculture, and landscaping.

We are currently seeking an Experienced Equipment Mechanic to join our team and help keep our operations running smoothly.

Job Summary :

  • As an Experienced Equipment Mechanic at Souter Limestone, you will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of heavy equipment and machinery used in limestone quarrying and production.
  • Your technical expertise will ensure our equipment is operating at peak performance, contributing directly to the success of our operations.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on equipment, including crushers, loaders, dump trucks, and conveyor systems.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues in a wide range of heavy-duty equipment.
  • Conduct inspections to ensure equipment is functioning properly and safely.
  • Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities.
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure minimal downtime and optimal performance.
  • Adhere to all safety standards and best practices while working on machinery.
  • Assist in the installation and setup of new equipment when required.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, technologies, and best practices for equipment maintenance.

    • Qualifications :

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in heavy equipment repair and maintenance, preferably within the mining or construction industry.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, electrical systems, and engines.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and service bulletins.
  • Skilled in using diagnostic equipment and hand / power tools.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Valid driver’s license; a CDL is preferred but not required.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high safety standards.
  • Certification or formal training in heavy equipment repair is a plus.
