Responsibilities Work in a Level 1 Trauma acute care hospital setting within critical care / ICU Primary assignment is in the ICU / Critical Care unit with 39 beds split among three locations Patient population includes high acuity and critical care cases Nurse-to-patient ratios are primarily 1 : 2, with some 1 : 1 for high acuity and 1 : 3 for overflow or transfers Required to float to med / surg or step-down units as needed based on skill set Rotating day and night 12-hour shifts with every other weekend required Must be available for two out of three major holidays : Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s Uses Epic EMR system Responsibilities include providing critical care for ICU patients and floating to med / surg or step-down units as needed General nursing and department-specific orientation provided, including computer-based training and preceptor shifts Navy blue scrubs are required All clinicians must badge in and out at the facility Local candidates within 80 miles are accepted First-time travelers are welcome to apply Requirements Active SD or compact RN license required Current ACLS and BLS certifications required Minimum of 2 years of recent RN experience in critical care or ICU settings Experience with Epic EMR preferred but not required No BSN required Previous employment with the specified health system must have ended at least 6 months prior to consideration Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-627395.
