Description :

The ERP Master Production Scheduler is responsible for developing and maintaining the master production schedule to support customer demand, inventory targets, and production capabilities. This role will own the ERP scheduling process, coordinate with cross-functional teams (Production, Supply Chain, Engineering, Program Management), and ensure data integrity to drive efficient manufacturing operations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITES :

  • Create and manage the Master Production Schedule (MPS) in Global Shop ERP, ensuring alignment with demand forecasts, customer orders, capacity constraints, and inventory goals.
  • Translate sales and forecast data into actionable manufacturing plans, considering lead times, material availability, and labor capacity.
  • Monitor work-in-process (WIP) and adjust production schedules daily / weekly based on shop floor status, changes in customer demand, or supply disruptions.
  • Analyze material and capacity requirements to prevent bottlenecks and ensure on-time delivery.
  • Review and maintain accurate BOMs, routings, lead times, work center capacities, and production calendars in ERP system.
  • Coordinate with procurement and inventory teams to ensure timely availability of raw materials and subassemblies.
  • Participate in weekly production planning meetings to communicate plan updates and resolve conflicts with production schedules; identify scheduling risks and constraints; proactively recommend and implement solutions.
  • Generate and analyze KPIs such as schedule adherence, job completion rate, and capacity utilization.
  • Troubleshoot ERP scheduling issues and serve as liaison between IT and production for ERP-related improvements.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on planning and scheduling processes.
  • Work collaboratively with production scheduler to ensure effective use of scheduling functions in ERP system.

Requirements :

  • 3 – 5 years of experience in master production planning / scheduling within an ERP system in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proven experience using an ERP system (Global Shop, SAP, Epicor, etc.), particularly in master scheduling and job planning modules.
  • Strong understanding of MRP, MPS, production workflows, and capacity / resource planning.
  • Proficient in MS Office w / advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, charts).
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Knowledge of lean 6S principles and process improvement techniques preferred.
  • Familiarity with ISO or AS9100 quality standards preferred.

    • WORK ENVIRONMENT :

  • Teamwork oriented, open office environment with frequent interaction on the production floor.
  • May require occasional extended hours or weekend work to meet production deadlines or during ERP upgrades.
  • PPE including safety shoes, safety glasses, and earplugs must be worn while in the shop.
