Classification : FT, Hourly- Non-Exempt

Hourly Rate : $18.00

Are you a highly motivated and detail oriented student seeking hands-on work experience in the construction industry? Come join O-A-K's Summer 2026 Construction Intern Program!

We are looking for students passionate about construction to serve as our summer interns. This is a unique opportunity where student interns gain real world experience through on the job training, working alongside our experienced Project Superintendents on commercial construction projects throughout West Michigan.

Job responsibilities include :

  • Scheduling assistance
  • Quality control assistance
  • General labor
  • Job site problem-solving
  • Plan reading and interpretation
  • Miscellaneous support
  • Attendance at subcontractor and owner progress meetings

The ideal candidate will possess :

  • Education and experience : Pursuit of Bachelors degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering with knowledge of commercial construction systems and processes.
  • Tech know-how : Experience with construction programs including Microsoft Project, On-Screen Takeoff, etc.
  • Teamwork Mentality : Willingness to go above and beyond to meet accelerated deadlines and work in a team environment. Candidate must have superior organizational and communication skills.
  • Physical Requirements : Ability to lift 50 pounds.
