The YMCA's University of Minnesota Early Learning Center is seeking an Assistant Teacher to work 8 : 30-5 : 30, Monday-Friday, year-round.

Requirements :

• Meet Minnesota DHS Rule 3 or Wisconsin HFS 46 Teacher qualifications, including yearly in-service requirements.
• Minimum 18 years of age.
• A commitment to working with children and families in a developmental setting and a sincere desire to have a meaningful effect on their lives.
• Experience working with infants to age 5 in a diverse group setting.

Activities may include arts and crafts, gym time, games, enrichment activities, reading, nature education, etc. Share your passion and positively impact children and families.

Work hours are Monday-Friday, with shifts varying from 6 : 30 am to 6 : 00 pm, depending on location needs, with flexibility as required.

The starting salary is $17.00 / hour, with consideration of experience and background. The total compensation includes additional benefits and earned time off, varying by employment status.

Job Summary :

Under the direction of the Program Director, support the teaching staff in implementing childcare programs, assisting with high-quality child care services that align with YMCA core values : Equity, Honesty, Respect, Responsibility, and Caring.
