Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech Language Pathologist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating speech and language disorders in patients of various ages, with a focus on early intervention and pediatric care. You will work collaboratively with families, educators, and healthcare professionals to develop individualized treatment plans that promote effective communication skills.
- Duties
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of speech, language, and communication abilities in patients.
- Develop and implement personalized treatment plans based on patient assessments.
- Provide speech therapy services to individuals with a range of communication disorders.
- Collaborate with parents, teachers, and other professionals to support patient progress in various environments such as schools and clinics.
- Educate patients and their families about speech and language development, as well as strategies for improvement.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress and treatment outcomes.
- Stay current with best practices in speech therapy, medical terminology, anatomy knowledge, and physiology knowledge.
- Experience
- A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program is required.
- Valid state licensure or certification as a Speech Language Pathologist.
- Experience working with pediatric populations is preferred; experience in school settings is a plus.
- Knowledge of early intervention strategies is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with patient assessment techniques and patient care practices is essential.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology related to speech-language pathology.
