Job Title : Assembler

Location : Boulder, CO 80301

Duration : 6 Months (Temp to Hire)

Pay Rate : $18-$23.27 / hr on W2

Shift : First shift, Monday-Thursday 6 : 30 AM to 4 : 00 PM, Friday 7 : 00 AM -11 AM.

Job Description :

Assembles products according to customer's needs, following blueprints and other written and verbal specifications. Creates plan for assembly procedures, following specifications and using knowledge gained by experience.

This position is viewed as skilled and is distinguished from the Product Assembler (Bench) as it requires more training and experience, generally one to two years, to perform the activities.

Major Job Duties / Functions

Follows safety procedures specific to the operation and promptly addresses safety concerns.

Independently identifies work tasks and proactively adapts to maximize overall product flow and efficiency.

Assembles product bodies using hand tools

Inspect assembles product for quality and makes necessary corrections.

Test product integrity using hydro (water) or air pressure equipment

Engraves product components using an industrial laser

Operates shot blast equipment to polish surface preps parts

Cleans assembled parts before sending for quality inspection

Gathers, inspects, and bags parts for use in various product assemblies

Periodically stocks inventory locations with parts ensuring that Country of Origin and head lot traceability are met

May perform welt inspection to ensure product quality meets design specifications.

Supports outside vendor process as needed.

Handles non-routine and moderately complex assignments, referring only the most complex issues to higher levels.

Maintains product and process quality through visual inspection and testing. Takes initiative to troubleshoot and problem-solve.

Thoroughly documents all production paperwork and performs necessary data entry.

Participates in Improvement Teams, Lean Manufacturing, and 5S+1 effords.

Performs preventative maintenance on, and ensures calibration of, equipment, tools, and fixtures, as required.

Assists in training of other Assemblers.

Rotates to different work areas as needed.

Maintains clean and organized work areas following 5S+1 principles.

Shares Skills and knowledge with other Assemblers providing effective feedback.

Communicates with Engineering to address product concerns.

Cooperatively performs additional duties.

Education / Experience :

1 Year as Assembler, 3 years relevant experience
