The Surgery department is seeking a qualified Colo / Rectal Physician who is Board-Certified or eligible in General Surgery and has completed a colorectal surgery fellowship. This position involves providing high-level surgical care at a Level 1 Trauma Center and engaging in medical education for residents and fellows affiliated with UT Tyler School of Medicine. Successful candidates will demonstrate a commitment to patient care and advancing clinical medicine while being eligible for a Texas Medical License.
The department of Surgery is currently recruiting for a faculty member who practices colorectal surgery. The University of Texas at Tyler School of Medicine is the first medical school in East Texas and the seventh in The University of Texas System. Construction is currently underway on a five-story, 248,000-square-foot Medical Education Building (MEB) in Tyler s Midtown District. Connected by a skybridge to UT Health Tyler, the MEB will support interdisciplinary education for medical students and resident training. It will also aid as part of a medical education program expansion throughout the UT Health East Texas Health System. The building is scheduled for completion in fall of 2025.
