CNC Machinist Job Description

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operating CNC machinery, with the ability to read blueprints and fabricate parts according to specifications. This role requires mechanical knowledge and familiarity with various CNC programming languages, including Mazatrol and Fanuc. The CNC Machinist will be responsible for ensuring high-quality production while adhering to lean manufacturing principles.

Responsibilities

  • Operate CNC machines, including setting up and adjusting tools as needed.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to fabricate components accurately.
  • Utilize coordinate measuring machines (CMM) to inspect finished products for quality assurance.
  • Perform routine maintenance on CNC equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to improve processes and efficiency.
  • Implement lean manufacturing techniques to minimize waste and enhance productivity.
  • Use bore gauges and other measuring tools to verify dimensions of machined parts.
  • Safely operate forklifts for the movement of materials within the facility.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a CNC Machinist or similar role in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in operating Mazatrol and Fanuc CNC systems is preferred.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues.
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles is an advantage.
  • Experience using coordinate measuring machines (Calipers, Depth, Micrometers, height gages etc.
  • Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately.
  • Forklift certification is a plus but not mandatory.
  • Attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and a commitment to quality work.
