Position Summary :
We are seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to lead and oversee complex healthcare construction projects from pre-construction through closeout. The ideal candidate has a strong background in managing healthcare facility builds or renovations and a deep understanding of IDPH construction regulations, compliance procedures, and healthcare environment requirements.
This is a key leadership role requiring strong organizational, communication, and technical skills to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget, while maintaining compliance with all state and healthcare-specific building standards.
Key Responsibilities :
- Manage all phases of healthcare construction projects including planning, budgeting, scheduling, and coordination of subcontractors and vendors.
- Ensure compliance with IDPH and Joint Commission regulations throughout all stages of construction.
- Collaborate with hospital administration, architects, engineers, and regulatory agencies.
- Lead construction meetings and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
- Monitor project costs, change orders, and contract compliance.
- Implement and maintain safety standards and infection control protocols appropriate for active healthcare environments.
- Coordinate project inspections, approvals, and certifications with local authorities and IDPH representatives.
- Oversee site logistics to minimize impact on patient care areas and ensure minimal disruption.
- Manage documentation, including RFIs, submittals, and closeout packages.
Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field. Equivalent experience considered.Minimum 5–7 years of project management experience in construction, with at least 3 years in healthcare construction.Extensive knowledge of IDPH construction regulations and the healthcare design and construction process.Proven track record of delivering complex healthcare construction projects on time and within budget.Strong leadership and communication skills.Proficiency in project management software (e.g. MS Project, Bluebeam).OSHA 30 certification and familiarity with infection control protocols in healthcare construction.Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.Preferred Qualifications :
ASHE or other relevant industry certification.Experience working in active hospital environments with infection control measures.Familiarity with NFPA 101, FGI Guidelines, and other applicable healthcare standards.Compensation & Benefits :
