Responsibilities Work in the Neuro Med / Surg unit of a hospital environment Care for patients with neurological conditions, including those with mild to severe brain injury from stroke, trauma, or surgery Night shifts from 7 : 00PM to 7 : 30AM, three 12-hour shifts per week Use Epic EMR for documentation Patient care requires ability to identify and respond immediately to neurological changes and seizure activity No local candidates accepted, must reside at least 50 miles from the facility Perform initial assessment and develop individualized plan of care for each admission Modify plans of care based on ongoing patient evaluation Maintain compliance with safety measures such as fall and isolation precautions Provide patient and family education as part of care responsibilities Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team for effective patient care coordination RTO is limited to 7 total days per 13-week contract Cannot bring travel partners for this assignment Travelers cannot accept assignments for more than one year consecutively without a 6-month break Scrubs are required; specific color or style may be specified by the unit Requirements Active IL RN license (temp license accepted) Minimum one year of recent relevant RN experience, with three years preferred ASN required; BSN preferred Current BLS from American Heart Association Demonstrated experience in a Level 1 Trauma setting is required Epic charting experience required Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-614781.
