DESCRIPTION OF WORK
As a Corrections Utility Plant Operator, you will perform work and oversee inmate work crews completing tasks related to the operation, maintenance, and repair of steam boilers, heating boilers, chilled water systems, cooling towers, and standby generators. You will m aintain efficient operations of three water tube boilers that run on gas and oil, as well as associated equipment under normal and emergency conditions. You will also u tilize manual and automatic controls, p erform scheduled and unscheduled operational assessments, and visual and aural gauges, meters, and sensing devices. This role requires the ability to analyze situations and problems to provide appropriate resolutions that will ensure a continuous supply of heat and hot water. In addition, you will t est boiler water chemistry and water softening systems, record test results, and inventory water treatment chemicals, reagents, and supplies needed to perform testing.

Work Schedule and Additional Information :
2nd shift : 3 : 00 PM to 11 : 00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a shift differential of $1.25 per hour
