Responsibilities :
- Manage the preparation and review of individual and corporate tax returns to ensure accuracy and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Oversee annual income tax provisions, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
- Provide strategic guidance on tax planning and reporting to minimize liabilities and maximize savings.
- Utilize Lacerte Tax Software and other tools to streamline tax processes and improve efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with sales tax regulations and oversee related filings.
- Conduct thorough reviews of tax documents and calculations to identify discrepancies and opportunities for optimization.
- Collaborate with clients to address tax-related inquiries and provide tailored solutions.
- Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance and advise clients accordingly.
- Train and mentor less experienced staff to build expertise within the team.
- Prepare and present detailed reports on tax activities and outcomes to stakeholders.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in individual and corporate tax management.
- Proficiency in Lacerte Tax Software and other tax preparation tools.
- Active CPA certification is required.
- Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax regulations.
- Proven expertise in preparing and reviewing individual and corporate income tax returns.
- Familiarity with sales tax compliance and reporting.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for client collaboration and team leadership.
