Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities :
- Provide a safe work environment and ensure all safety and environmental policies are being followed
- Establish, implement and adhere to all departmental policies and procedures and address any non-compliance issues when necessary
- Oversee the implementation and adherence of procedures, goals and objectives within the department
- Partner with the Operations Manager to establish daily, weekly, and monthly production targets that production planning provides via SIOP
- Collect and maintain data and metrics on the daily management boards and provide the Operations Manager with corrective actions needed when production targets are not being met
- Lead rework and scrap reduction teams and collaborate with other departments for overall systemic corrective actions to reduce the cost of non-conforming product
- Lead Kaizen and TPM events to improve OEE and cost reductions through DI implementation
- Review and distribute production orders to meet production schedules, quantities, and specifications of products for delivery
- Ensure production priorities are staged in work centers with flow coordination and adherence of dispatch reports and critical priority lists
- Collaborate with the sales department to ensure we are meeting OTIF expectations with the customers
- Manage labor, assets and material to ensure absorption targets are met
- Use operational schedules and coordinate manufacturing activities to ensure production and quality of products meet specifications
- Assist the Operations Manager to resolve operational, manufacturing, and maintenance problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays
- Collaborate with project team leaders, engineering and maintenance to ensure project completion by deadlines
- Provides critical support as needed in other departments throughout the organization
- Inspect machines and equipment for safety and ensure specific operational performance and optimum utilization
- Oversee +- 40 employees within the production department. Responsibilities include but are not limited to;
- New hire employee orientation
- New employee training
- Employee coaching and development
- Plan, assign, and direct work
- Regularly review performance & conduct yearly performance reviews
- Provide disciplinary action with employees when necessary
- Address complaints and resolve problems
- Escalate performance, code of conduct or safety infractions to the Operations Manager and Human Resources
- Track and report formal company required training
- Conduct operator candidate interviews and make hiring decisions
- Cover Shift Lead's scheduled vacation when necessary
- Perform other duties as requested
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications :
Advanced computer skillsProficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.)Ability to solve problems, communicate and work well within multiple teamsStrong leadership and teambuilding skillsAbility to read blueprints and use measuring toolsAbility to read and interpret production orders, safety, operating, and maintenance procedure manualsProficient in forklift operation with the ability to obtain a forklift licenseAbility to work full-time Monday-Friday with weekend availability as neededAbility to meet specific vision requirements including but not limited to; close / distance vision, and depth perceptionWork Environment :
The PS Supervisor operates in various environments requiring PPE to be worn as outlined by EHS and OSHA. In this position, you will be exposed to working areas with various noise and weather conditions.

Education & Experience :
High school diploma or GED required3+ years of supervisor experience in a manufacturing environment required3+ years of experience with Lean Manufacturing processes preferred2+ years of experience as a forklift operator requiredAbout Us
