Welder

I. SUMMARY OF POSITION :

  • Constructs and or repairs metal products either manually or by machine

II. RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Welds a range of metals including but not limited to mild steel, stainless steel, cast iron, aluminum, copper, brass, die cast, chrome metal.
  • Aware of safety regulations and must wear protective equipment to minimize heat and noise levels, and to guard against corrosive chemicals.
  • Ability to read Blueprints and weld maps preferred.
  • Ability to have all welds pass with QA / QC approval.
  • Proper placement of stencils.
  • Ability to follow all the Fabrication guidelines.

    • III. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :

  • Pass a Weld Qualification Test
  • Provide your own personal tool in a lockable toolbox
  • Available for short - term travel

    • IV. REPORTING REQUIREMENTS :

  • High School Education or equivalent
  • Possess a valid driver's license

    • V. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS :

  • Ability to lift, carry or otherwise move and position objects and materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to stand, walk or otherwise move around on a continuous basis.
