Description
The Scholarship & Financial Literacy Coordinator shall have the primary responsibility to manage all scholarship funds and state grants received by the University. This customer-centric role is responsible for delivering service excellence and support to meet the needs of our university community. The incumbent will assist the Assistant Dean of Student Services in leveraging scholarships and state grants to increase enrollment and improve student retention. Emphasis will be placed on educating students and families about federal student aid and seeking external scholarship funding.
Essential Functions
- Provide high-level administrative support for all aspects of the scholarship and state grant process.
- Deliver virtual and in-person financial aid literacy workshops in partnership with the Admissions Office.
- Serve as the first point of contact for inquiries regarding scholarships and grants via telephone and electronic communication.
- Assist with updating scholarship calendars, timelines, and key dates.
- Support the Assistant Dean of Student Services with accounting and finance procedures.
- Identify and implement process improvements.
- Maintain communication with students and partner schools.
- Collaborate with university staff on strategic and operational planning to enhance student services.
- Perform fund reconciliation analysis and reporting for all Scholarship and Grants Programs.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Handle sensitive and confidential information professionally.Demonstrate analytical, decision-making, communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.Manage multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environment.Review and update student information on platforms like OSFA, UNCF portal, and Veteran Affairs.Conduct reconciliation at semester end.Update policies to align with regulations and the university mission.Knowledge of financial aid management and student information systems.Work effectively under pressure and in fast-paced settings.Maintain confidentiality and communicate effectively at all levels.Attention to detail and adaptability are essential.Proficiency in MS Office Suite.Moderate physical activity required, including standing or walking for extended periods.Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or high school diploma / GED with at least five years of related experience.Preferred experience with Illusion systems : PowerFAIDS, PowerCampus, Jenzabar.Experience with Florida grants and OSFA reporting systems.Flexibility to work outside normal hours.Pre-Employment Requirements
