Security Officer Education Unarmed Patrol Full-Time

As a Security Officer Education Unarmed Patrol Full-Time in Pasadena, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more.

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol the grounds of an educational location, helping to deter security-related incidents and creating a welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors. Your presence and exceptional customer service will contribute to a positive atmosphere, while your routine patrols and communication skills support a secure setting. Pay Rate : $21.42 / Hour

Job Schedule : DayTime

Mon 02 : 30 PM - 09 : 00 PM

Tue 02 : 30 PM - 09 : 00 PM

Wed 02 : 30 PM - 09 : 00 PM

Thur 02 : 30 PM - 09 : 00 PM

Fri 02 : 30 PM - 09 : 00 PM

What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service to clients, students, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies at the location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the campus and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas to observe for unusual or suspicious behavior.
  • Assist with access control by verifying identification and / or credentials as required by site policies.
  • Support emergency response activities as needed, including assisting with evacuations or lockdowns.
  • Document and report incidents, observations, and / or maintenance concerns according to site and Allied Universal protocols.
  • Maintain a visible presence to help to deter unwanted activity and provide reassurance to the campus community.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Experience with access control and / or badge systems is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A valid guard card or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
