Clinton, Iowa, Hematology / Oncology Physician Job

  • Clinical Role :

Expect to split time 30 / 70 between Hematology and Medical Oncology

  • Days Monday-Friday 8 : 00 am-5 : 00 PM + call
  • After hour calls are by phone only and are very minimal
  • Practice is attached to the hospital
  • Currently sees an average of 30 patients per day - patient population is adult and geriatric
  • New patient visits are allocated 30 minutes and follow-up patients 15 minutes.
  • Physicians are supported by four RNs, MA, CNA, and a receptionist.
  • Hospitalists are available to cover infusions, if needed.
  • Onsite Radiation Oncology is an outreach of the University of Iowa
  • Strong primary care network of providers to provide a steady stream of internal referrals
  • Practice in a professionally managed and thriving state-of-the-art facility with full ancillary services
  • According to the FY22-24 CHNA, through a need differential analysis and steering committee input, cancer was found to be one of the top 8 health needs in the service area. Begun working towards the COC (Commission on Cancer) Accreditation
  • Not accepting Locums candidates
  • Not accepting visa candidates
  • Cannot accept providers who have any malpractice cases that are in Probate or that require supervision.  Clean malpractice is preferred
