What you'll do
- Every day, conduct behind-the-wheel training to drivers of all ages and experience levels as prescribed by the AAA Driving School curriculum and training program.
- Utilize driving school software to record and maintain student progress.
- Evaluate student performance and provide additional support as needed.
- Maintain knowledge of safe driving and defensive driving practices and keep all records required by the state of California.
- This position may require work in various locations within a 50-mile radius. A company car with paid gas, maintenance, and insurance will be provided.
What You'll Need
Experience in driving instruction, teaching, education, or the automotive industry.Ability to interact well with the public and teens.Strong motivation to improve safe driving practices for all drivers.Flexibility to accommodate student availability, including weekday schedules starting as late as 12 pm during the school year and teaching on at least one weekend day per week.Ability to sit for prolonged periods in a vehicle; good vision and hearing in all weather conditions; ability to bend, stoop, kneel, reach, and lift up to 25 lbs.Must Haves
High School Diploma or equivalentValid driver's license and an acceptable driving record3-5 years of driving experienceWill be required to obtain Driving School licensing by the state, including a physical exam as required by the DMVMust pass a background check and drug testCompensation
Our part-time Driving Instructors are paid an hourly rate of $24.00.
