The Store Manager In Training (SMIT) program is a development focused role crafted to prepare you for a CVS Store Manager position. It is designed to enhance your career as a future store leader through a self-paced, collaborative training over 16 weeks, with both virtual and hands-on experiences. Your growth will be supported by a team including your District Leader, Human Resources Business Partner, Training Store Manager, and your Store Manager coach.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in a structured 16-week training program to develop leadership skills for a future CVS Store Manager role.
  • Engage in self-paced and collaborative learning experiences, both virtual and hands-on.
  • Support your store as a management team member and lead in a manner consistent with CVS values and policies.
  • Communicate effectively to support and lead your team and deliver high levels of customer service.
  • Execute merchandising strategies to drive store sales growth and manage store inventory and assets to maintain profitability.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Bachelor's Degree (preferred) or relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
  • Retail management experience, or experience as a CVS Supervisor
  • Willingness to accept promotion to Store Manager roles within the designated market and ability to transfer to other CVS Pharmacy stores in the market
  • Ability to work a schedule that may vary based on business needs

    • Anticipated Hours, Type & Pay

  • Anticipated Weekly Hours : 45
  • Time Type : Full time
  • Pay Range : $18.50 - $26.25 per hour

    • This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. The actual offer will depend on factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.

    Selection for the SMIT position does not guarantee promotion into a Store Manager position; promotion depends on performance and openings.
