As a Lead Operating Engineer at JLL, you will maintain, monitor, and perform preventive maintenance and continuous operation of all building systems including fire / life safety, mechanical (HVAC, plumbing, controls), electrical (lighting, primary switch gear), and hot water systems while monitoring operation, adjusting, and maintaining refrigeration, air compressor systems, and air conditioning equipment along with ventilating and hot water heaters, pumps, valves, piping and filters in Greenhouse settings. This comprehensive engineering leadership role combines technical expertise with operational excellence, requiring you to record readings and make adjustments to ensure proper operation of equipment while reporting problems and malfunctions found, demonstrating ability to analyze various systems operations, determine causes of problems and take corrective action as required to schedule maintenance. You will play a crucial role in JLL's commitment to operational excellence by complying with departmental policy for safe storage, usage, and disposal of hazardous materials while maintaining clean and safe workplace, overseeing contractor activities within buildings, and keeping records of building rounds, readings, and engineering logs while ensuring understanding and compliance with emergency escalation procedures and Critical Facility Work processes.

What your day-to-day will look like :

• Maintain, monitor, and perform preventive maintenance of all building systems including fire / life safety, mechanical, electrical, and hot water systems
• Monitor operation, adjust, and maintain refrigeration, air compressor systems, air conditioning equipment, and ventilating systems in Greenhouse settings
• Record readings and make adjustments to ensure proper operation while reporting problems and analyzing system operations for corrective action
• Comply with departmental policy for safe storage, usage, and disposal of hazardous materials while maintaining clean and safe workplace
• Oversee activities of contractors working within buildings while keeping records of building rounds, readings, and engineering logs
• Inform contractors about building's critical functions and work requirements including incident contact response procedures
• Ensure understanding and compliance with emergency escalation procedures while ensuring Critical Facility Work is well-understood process
• Ensure strict adherence to Critical Awareness Process, Technical Bulletins, established engineering guidelines, processes, and procedures.
