POSITION SUMMARY

The Maintenance Technician will perform a variety of maintenance tasks to support maintenance, material handling and production as well as perform facility maintenance.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Learns and performs general maintenance and repair duties on a variety of equipment, machines and facility systems

Able to diagnose mechanical issues and repair or replace defective parts to keep machinery in optimal condition

Working knowledge setting up, assembling, and calibrating new machinery and equipment according to technical plans and drawings

Experience precisely fitting, aligning, and adjusting components like bearings, gears, and shafts to ensure machines operate correctly and efficiently

Operates hand and power tools and mechanical equipment effectively and safely comply with safety requirements including use of appropriate PPE

Skill in using a wide range of tools, from hand tools and precision instruments (calipers, micrometers etc.)

Works under general supervision and seek assistance from higher level technicians, when necessary, to complete work with highest level of safety and quality

Recommends measures to improve maintenance methods and equipment performance.

Understands company policies and enforces safety regulations such as lockout / tagout

Complies with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)

Other duties as assigned

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Able to lift up to 75 lbs.

Able to walk, stand, climb, stoop for extended lengths of time

Must be able to climb and be comfortable with heights (ex. Spray Dryer= 150 ft.)

Able to tolerate temperature extremes up to 110

• F in production and outside on hot days and cold outside temperatures during the winter

Outside work in all-weather elements

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

High school Diploma

Strong safety work ethic

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, must work as part of a team.

Ability to analyze problems, recommend solutions, and initiate repairs

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

The base compensation for this position ranges from $32.93 to $43.90 per hour. Please note that wages may vary depending on skills and experience. This position is eligible for vacation, holidays, health, dental, vision, mental health, retirement plans, and other benefits.
