- Job Description :
- As a Heavy Duty Diesel Technician, you will be responsible for the diagnostics, repair and maintenance of customer vehicles as well as performing the proper PDI's / CVI's of New Peterbilt Trucks for our sales team . Paid training is provided to keep your skills sharp, and you will have access to all of the latest tools and technology.
- Key Responsibilities :
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics on Heavy Duty trucks using specialized diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Conduct routine maintenance and repair tasks including engine repairs, transmission work, brake systems, and electrical components.
- Identify and address mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues in Peterbilt trucks.
- Provide detailed repair estimates and explanations to customers.
- Ensure all work is completed to manufacturer specifications and industry standards.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of repairs, parts used, and labor.
- Follow safety procedures and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
- Stay current with industry trends, new technologies, and Peterbilt vehicle updates.
- Qualifications :
- Proven experience as a truck technician (with a strong focus on Peterbilt vehicles preferred)
- Extensive knowledge of Peterbilt truck systems and components preferred.
- Proficiency with diagnostic tools and repair equipment (specific to Peterbilt trucks preferred)
- Commercial Vehicle Inspection License preferred
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
