Responsibilities Work in a 44-bed surgical, trauma, and medical pediatric critical care unit caring for patients from neonate through young adult Patient populations include neurosurgical, general surgical, trauma, and medical / respiratory cases Patient ratios range from 1 : 1 to 1 : 3 depending on acuity Uses oscillators, ICP monitoring, EVDs, and CRRT equipment Primarily night shifts, 12 hours (1900-0730), every other weekend rotation required (Friday through Sunday) Floating required to all inpatient units including critical care, NICU, and acute care Charting with Epic highly preferred No on-call requirements Role includes providing care to a highly diverse set of pediatric patients, including surgical and trauma cases Pediatric ICU is part of a teaching hospital and may include working with students Training will be provided if assignment includes use of code phone Professional attire required; any professional scrubs may be worn Jewelry, accessories, tattoos, and hair must conform to safety and professional standards Holiday coverage may be required as needed Requirements Active WI or compact RN license Current AHA BLS and PALS certifications Minimum 1 year of recent PICU experience required Recent experience with tracheostomy and ventilator care is required Experience with oscillators, ICP monitoring, EVDs, and CRRT preferred Epic EMR experience highly preferred Flu vaccine required with no exemptions Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-622437.
